Inspired by the classic fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans Christian Andersen, "The Emperor's Revenge" is an extension (or sequel) to the original story. After being swindled and humiliated by two weavers, the Emperor demands that they be brought to justice. The problem is he'll have to find them first. On the run and their whereabouts unknown, Asgall, Commander of the Emperor's Guard, is put in charge of apprehending them. However, as Asgall attempts to track them down, he discovers that other forces are at work, and the weavers didn't act alone in their villainous plot.  

When two dwarfs and a gnome cross paths with pirates, they discover an even greater threat lurking in the sea. This standalone short story introduces first-time readers to the main characters in Kevin Hopson’s Vargrom series.
